Here I am back again........No, I had not forgotten, but you would not believe all the things I have been going through to get back on my feet in La Ceiba. It rained for some days, the sun was out and then warm and too much humidity, but the good thing it is green!
The political situation is not yet where it should be, and ah the politicians; the media needs all the frenzy crazy things to be 'successful' no matter if the 'news' are accurate or not, but we should know better, just let the Good Lord take control.
I want to thank my RLG in Round Rock for sending some medication who is already helping two very needy ladies, who are so grateful to you even if they do not know your personally. So continue keeping me in your prayers as I need them so much. Also today I contacted Maria Teresa Devlin who started a 'conservatorium' and is now so successful with this group of youngsters who are delighting us with their talent and best of all she has started an orphanage in a community called El Pino, I should be visiting these kids after New Year, as she is in need of volunteers who can 'talk' to them, give them the family nurture that they miss so much and also, ongoing is another project to pick up all the kids sleeping on the streets, many times manipulated to steal and other viscious acts. So, again, my friends, keep me in your prayers as all I have for now is "time to give and volunteer' in these projects.
A couple of missionaries from the Methodist church,Georgia were here and I was so grateful to them; months ago they donated some money to a elementary school so that the kids could have a library, painted their desks. The kids and teachers are very happy and the missionaries were able to see where their money went. So my friends, if you want to donate 1 dollar, 2 dollars, 3 dollars or even 5 dollars, do not hesitate to send it, it will feed many people and all for the glory of our Lord and Saviour, who rejoices when we share with the most needy. The lady who runs the old folks shelter home is Rina J. Villar Landa and what she mostly need is "any amount
which will help her pay the basic at this shelter where most of the seniors are suffering after a stroke (some can't talk), they have no medical attention, all they have at a "nursing desk" is tylenol, advil and medicine for stomach problems-- Her address is Hogar de Ancianos "Divina Providencia, La Ceiba, Honduras. Telephone 441-6085.
I need to learn to attach photos to my blog, so you can see what I am talking about--- need to contact my son in law, so he can instruct, so photos are pending.
As for me, I am adjusting to my dear country and I pray My Creator and Saviour will touch all of those who are in power, so that the most needy and vulnerable population gets food and health. So we will keep praying at our prayer group; it is composed of 6 women and 2 males, and yes, there is a lot of prayer and praising the Lord!!!
Until the next time..... love you all.
